Kitchen lighting

For many of us the kitchen is the most important room in the house. Its often where we spend the most time and it is generally the hub of family activity.

Its because of this that so many of us spend so much care and attention when decorating the kitchen and we are usually aware of the importance of using good kitchen lighting to get the look of this room just right.

The kitchen is a multi functional room where we have to cook, eat and entertain guests under a variety of circumstances so it can be helpful to have adjustable lighting to allow the room to change with the events of the day.

You can use dimmer switches for this, but you will probably want to have several different light fixtures in various parts of the kitchen. Places like the kitchen sink, cooker, worktops and table will all have to be illuminated to different degrees at different times of the day.
